Education

Our Christian curriculum is based on information and requirements from two area elementary schools.  Our curriculum builds on what kindergarten teachers prefer that entering kindergartners know and uses developmentally appropriate practices. All staff have a degree in education and/or extensive teaching experience. All staff are also CPR and first aid certified.

4 year old curriculum includes:

· Letter recognition & handwriting

· Read/write name

· Read/write numbers to 10

· Pre-math concepts

· Integrated history & science

· Cooperative social skills

· Phonics & early reading skills

· Character development

 3 year old curriculum includes:

 · Basic letter recognition

 · Read name

· Write name

· Recite numbers to 10

· Emergent reading/math skills

· Emotional/cooperative social skills

· Character development

2 year old curriculum includes:

· Introduction of learning concepts through  songs, finger plays, books, and games

· Introduction to social situations

· Basic motor skills through arts & crafts

· Taking turns & sharing

All 3 & 4 year old classes have a ten to one ratio including specials. Our 2 year old class has a lead teacher and an assistant teacher. This means that we have a five to one ratio in this class.
