Academic, Social, Spiritual, and Physical Enrichment

Our program offers computer time for our 3 & 4 year old classes in our preschool

computer lab.   Fun computer games are used to teach basic computer and small motor

skills.  Library time gives our children a chance to learn many pre-reading skills and

enjoy a variety of books.  Music time introduces 2, 3 & 4 year olds to basic music

concepts, musical instruments, and creative movement.  Physical education offers our

2, 3 & 4 year olds the opportunity to develop their larger motor skills and participate in

group games.  The children enjoy a healthy snack each day, exciting art projects, theme

days, water play days, and field trips to nearby locations. We invite special guests as part

of our Community Friends Program. Our children also learn to give back to their

community through food and toy drives during the holidays and St. Judes’ Trike-a-thon.

Friendships blossom and social skills grow through organized and free play, sharing,

and taking turns.

Our children are introduced to the lessons of the Bible through Bible stories and related

activities each week in the classroom. In addition, 3 & 4 year olds visit our church’s

sanctuary twice each month for chapel time. 2 year olds visit once a month. It is here

that we participate in and learn about worship through songs and stories. These

nondenominational, Bible-based lessons are led by thepastors of our church. Also, at

the beginning of each day and before the daily snack, children learn to pray together

with their teacher, learning thankfulness to God and basic prayer habits.
