In an effort to assist with disaster relief associated with Hurricane Harvey and now Hurricane Irma, Richland Baptist Church is collecting “Flood Buckets” and “Hygiene Kits” to be sent to both areas affected by these hurricanes. The BGAV/Virginia Baptist Disaster Response have several teams already mobilized in Liberty, Texas to assist with initial clean-up efforts. “Flood Buckets” are provided to homeowners who would like to do their own clean-up and the “Hygiene Kits” are provided to help residents affected by disaster to take care of basic, every day needs.
Below are specific lists that have been provided by BGAV/VBDR for assembling either a “Flood Bucket” or “Hygiene Kit.”
Hygiene Kit Contents
VBDR is able to accept the following small or travel-sized items, placed in 1-gallon
sealable/Ziploc plastic bags. Make sure the bag will close easily.
• Facial tissue
• Shaving cream/razor
Feminine hygiene products and diapers will be packaged separately so please do not pack either of these items in the Hygiene Kit.
