so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.

We are blessed with a very compassionate and generous congregation here at Richland. When disaster strikes, we have always felt called to help. We partner with BGAV - Baptist General Association of Virginia. 

​

After Hurricane Harvey left communities devastated in Texas, our church loaded up our church van and sent a team of eight volunteers to Liberty, TX to help with cleanup and restoration efforts.

​

In one week were able to help with the clean up and restoration of three private homes. We applied our skills and manpower to help with gutting and cleaning out of a damaged home, installing new drywall, and putting in a new sub floor in one of the homes.

​

It was a blessing seeing the love of Christ in practical action and coming alongside a hurting community.
